Sample Challenge #16 Frozen Lake Cracking
Deadline: March 27 at 4 pm (GMT+2)
This month’s sample by Vrymaa captures the sound of a frozen lake slowly cracking. Recorded on ice roughly 15 cm thick, the deep fractures and resonant echoes create a natural and unexpected rhythm. The result is a raw, atmospheric texture that shifts into something musical, cinematic, and entirely surprising. We hope this sample will inspire you. You can already download and start composing with it.

On the day of the listening session, we will share the playlist with all the compositions and invite you if there is a listening session in your city.
